What version of Curl are you using? It seems to be old. HTTP_RETURNED_ERROR probably was added after your release, if you could tell me the version (use curl-config command), I could try to add support for that version adding some conditionals #if and #endif for the next release, so it can compile in your system...

(Actually it can compile from 7.10.3 to 7.11.0)
