I don't understand why.

Gambas is a great project, and it will bring many people from Windows to
GNU/Linux. It will be dealing with money, directly or not.

It would be great if Benoit could get paid for working on Gambas. It
would be great for all of us who work with GNU/Linux, as more people
would be able to contribute with free software.

Heck, it would be great for VB programmers, since they would have a free
alternative and Microsoft would be forced to lower its prices and
improve the quality of its tools!

Now, if the payment would come from a Foundation or from a private
company, that's another discussion.
