I already think about such a feature. But it needs a little work. The syntax would be something like: Draw.FillStyle = Fill.VerticalGradient = Fill.HorizontalGradient And drawing will be filled with the gradient, by using the Background and Foreground color. I have never used this component. Maybe we should ask Carlo Sorda first, to know if he will maintain it. Otherwise, and if it does not work, and nobody uses it, it should be removed. L. gb.draw is loaded dynamically by gb.qt and gb.gtk, so there is an implicit dependency on it. To avoid having to manually specify this dependency in the package, I think gb.draw should be put in gambas2-runtime with gb.debug and gb.eval (which are two components that are loaded dynamically too). And gb.gui should have its own package, like the other components. I will update the wiki how to. Regards, -- Benoit Minisini From jredrejo at ...176... If it's inside gambas2-runtime and it has any X dependency, it would make you install X libraries even if you want to create a cgi, or any shell application. In that case, gambas2-runtime would not be a good idea. Maybe it'd better create its own package and make gambas2-gb-qt & gambas2-gb-gtk depends on it. And gb.gui should have its own package, like the other components. Yes, I thought the same for gb.gui, gb.gtk.ext and gb.chart. Regards. Jos? It is an abstraction of the drawing routines, with some algorithms. But this component draws nothing at all by itself. You can check the dependencies of a component by using "ldd" or by looking in the Makefile.am file where you will find all libraries passed to the linker.
