Daniel Campos posted a patch last fall for the gb.qt.kde component to 
allow the design of Gambas systray applications, and it worked (at 
least) against gambas 1.9.3.  Since I can't package 1.9.5 I can't 
verify whether it's still working, but I guess either I or Daniel can 
resubmit the patch.

Alternatively, you can use the kstart command to launch Gambas 
applications into the systray; I have done this for about 5 
applications so far.  If you'd like I'll post a simple example, but I 
think there may already be one or more of those on GambasForge.
