Thanks and understood, but #2 (Border=False -> no background) is still odd because:

It also applies to GTK3 under Mint 21.1 Cinnamon and Mate (sorry, that I didn't recognize it earlier). But strangely the button background color is rendered under GTK3, when the mouses cursor hovers above the button.
Under Kubuntu the Button background color is also not displayed during development time when Border=False - but under run time. Please refer to the attached screenshot -. Sorry, this is also a new observation.
