Is your system information the good one?

Do you any special non-default configuration about fonts (DPI / hinting / scaling...)?

Do you run the GTK+ or the QT IDE? Do you have the same problem in both?

"Sans" is not a font, but a shortcut to a font depending on your system configuration. Can you tell the name of the actual font?
