The Click event is not raised when you click inside a cell, but when you click on a control embedded into the cell. See the wiki documentation for more details.

The Activate event seems to raise in the development version, so I guess it's fixed.

There are still problems with the Select event. But I can tell you that it should raise when the selection changes, so if you click on a tree item that is already selected in single mode, it should not raise the event.
