it just crashes the same program it crashed before but if I copy the code to a new program, it works fine

After few test, in the end I have removed the settings file used by Gambas IDE and that has fixed the issue.
Now no more issue with the Console Panel.

Hi Benoit,

As already discussed, could it be possible to add the PORT number as cookie for the Session managed by gb.web.ui

That way, it will be possible to run multiple Gambas Web applications on the same Host on various port.

For now if the browser has started a Session to a Gambas Web Application on a Port, the second call to the Port of the second Gambas Application stay connected to the first session and so display the same page.

I was trying to move a listview element inside a listview by using drag & drop and to display the moved item as selected after being moved.

As the attached demo shows, this doesn't work at that the first drag and drop action. Somehow an internal process seems to prevent the setting of the selection status after the first move. From the second movement on things work as intended.

It's weird. I don't see what it's possible to do from Gambas, as when the screen becomes dark, no code is run inside the Gambas program that manages the trayicon.

Does the Gambas program still run when the icon disappears?

But now your program segfaults at 'ShmMemBlock._new.125', when you call memcpy() directly in libc (Good Lord!).

I don't know yet if it's a bug in compilation of extern function calls, or if it's your program that does weird things.

At some point in the past Gambas would not allow the direct conversion to a struct of a pointer I guess so
memcpy was used as a dummy call 0 length, re-defined a number of times each redefinition used to convert a pointer to a specific structure type.

as follows:

but as to the crash it looks like maybe the return value in jit is not handled correctly from the call...

Unfortunately it looks like the jit has a problem with any and all clib calls with more than a single parameters.

https://tests.reproducible-builds.org/debian/rb-pkg/bookworm/armhf/gambas3.html shows a failing package build for the Debian armhf package.
Ubuntu has papered over this effect by building explicitly with GCC 11 instead of GCC 12: https://patches.ubuntu.com/g/gambas3/gambas3_3.17.3-2ubuntu1.patch

Are you aware of this and can you guess what the problem is? I have tried to find an issue or commit mentioning this but I failed to do so.

Yes, I'm aware of Launchpad failing to build armhf packages for a while, but I have no idea what the problem is exactly.

Launchpad log reports that the compilation of a component written in Gambas fails with an error message that should not trigger (it does not on x86), but I have no other apparent failure anywhere else.

Again I ask this!

Is it possible to allow Some form of #include for the project sources like is available in the scripter.

It is so error prone when one has to copy the structure definitions to each file that uses it, rather than just have an include statement.

The main issue is of course when a structure changes, one has to remember every class or module that references it to change manually.

Implementing this such that in the project Data the structures could be defined like MyStruct.gh

and in my class or module I could do

#include "MyStruct.gh"

I'm aware of the problem with structures, but you should use them only to talk with extern functions, and because of that problem, you should use it only in the class where the extern function using it is defined.

Otherwise you should use normal classes.

Hi Benoit,

Maybe it's already implemented in Gambas but didn't found it or how to do it.

Does exist a way to install a new Gambas Component in the User directory rather than needed to do it as 'root' in
 /usr/lib64/gambas3
 /usr/share/gambas3/info

It could be in

 /home/<user>/.local/lib/gambas3/...
 /home/<user>/.local/share/gambas3/info/...

If it could be possible to have a menu in the IDE to directly push the compiled files of a Component Projet to the User directory, as described above.

For now if I want to have my new Component available in the IDE, because I use a manual compiled version of Gambas, I need to create the package of my component and extract from the package the files to put in at the right place on my system.

It's not so hard but it's manual.

Do you thing it will be possible to find a better solution ?

This is an API problem, not a bug.

The Count property returns then *number of submatches*, but the first submatch is indexed by 1 (0 being the full matching text).

In other words, you have to write:

  For i As Integer = 0 To hRegex.Count + 1
    Print Subst("Index &1: &2", i, hRegex[i].Text)
  Next

You can see that in the example on the RegExp class wiki help.

As for the double escape, it's standard escaping of Gambas string syntax. Escaping in a Gambas string is not the same thing as escaping inside the regexp, this is why you have to escape twice.

OK, now it works when I toggle the 'JavaScriptCanAccessClipboard' settings flag of the webview, but only on Qt5. It still hangs with GTK+3.

The Click event is not raised when you click inside a cell, but when you click on a control embedded into the cell. See the wiki documentation for more details.

The Activate event seems to raise in the development version, so I guess it's fixed.

There are still problems with the Select event. But I can tell you that it should raise when the selection changes, so if you click on a tree item that is already selected in single mode, it should not raise the event.

On a virtual machine running Lubuntu 22.04, install version 3.17.90 like this:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gambas-team/gambas-daily
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install gambas3

and to update

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

The error Component not found: gb.geom comes out just by running from the IDE (F5) or with the run button.

It's correctly fixed in the Ubuntu daily ppa.

The problem still remains if you compile directly from source on an 'armhf' system, because then you have to specify not to use 'gcc-12' by hand. But I guess this will be a rare case.
