Yes, you are right, but I never encountered such a thing in all Gambas versions since 3.2 (which is where I started AFAIR).

The automatic code change is a showstopper. Open it in the IDE, hit F5 and bam.

I really would like to develop with 3.17 to get familiar with the new features, but it is impossible because I cannot change the other machines to 3.17 because of other bugs. In earlier Gambas versions it was no problem to write and compile code in the newer IDE for older Gambas interpreters (if you know what to avoid). I still write and compile code which has to run on Debian Gambas 3.12 in the 3.16 IDE.
