I confirm that I speak of Gambas=3.16.90 ec051a2 (master)
Both on Ubuntu 20.04 and 21.10 can not type in the editor when the libraries are GTK confirmed by other Italian users.
On Mint also have the same problems but with both QT and GTK libraries
