This has placed me in a terrible position.

Both QT and GTK behaved the same until the last few weeks, now you have disabled both. Perhaps it was a bug, but it had become a feature

Perhaps you could create a Wait All version that behaves in the same way the bug/feature behaved.

I am extremely disappointed in how you have chosen to handle this issue.

I don't really know why you made this choice to resolve this issue. 

It is sure not helpful at any level.
