Pierre DUCROQUET reported a new bug.
Summary
-------
Allow SSL authentication
Type : Request
Priority : Medium
Gambas version : Unknown
Product : PostgreSQL driver
Description
-----------
Currently, the gb.db component and gb.db.postgresql driver allow only login/password authentication, while PostgreSQL allows SSL client authentication using a certificate and a shared CA.
This mechanism is one of the most secure and very easy to use, and quite interesting in enterprise deployments. It would thus be useful to support it in order to be able to develop "enterprise"-grade Gambas applications :)
Kidding on the last part, but still, I need it to be able to connect to my servers, and since I've never looked at Gambas architecture I don't know how this would be implemented since all goes through gb.db, thus restricting to features widely available accross databases :/
