ok, I found a bit of a solution to the wiki issue

In the latest firefox if i turn off all enhanced tracking protection

so Menu ->Prefrences-> Privacy & Security -> Enhanced Tracking Protection -> custom 

Then click everything off 
it seems to display that I am logged in.

This is not great but works for the wiki website.
