You are talking about two different issues, and other problems you encounter.

You must create two issues, one for each bug:
1) The IDE autocompletion that is wrong on embedded arrays of structures.
2) The difficulty to compute the address of an element inside an embedded array of structures.

The rest is just discussion that should go on the mailing-list.
