CopperSpice "has completely diverged" from Qt, as expressed on their website home page. The class names are different. So it's now a completely different toolkit.

I usually won't create a GUI component base on any toolkit as long as that toolkit has not been packaged by the major packaging systems (RedHat, Debian, Ubuntu, ArchLinux).

Using a toolkit by integrating its source code is a too big job for the available time, and I do it only if it's a small project and if I really need it (like the 'gb.form.htmlview' component based on the 'litehtml' library).
