Try this Ben... (with gtk3)

Click "detach console window" then with console detached close gambas and re-open again.
when i do that the detached console window opens with gambas and all buttons are greyed. i can only close it but it opens again next load and i cannot change that setting (unless i load with QT then it all works fine)
