I have to apologize. After a reconfirmation from my friend I found that his tests had been conducted on different platforms - a misunderstanding. Here is the summary of all conducted tests:

With all past Linux theme trouble in mind this might confirm that you are right.

What are the consequences for Gambas programmers? Is only Linux Mint effected which appears to become worse from version to version? Are there widget-themes which are not broken? Shall we prefer QT in the future?

I am not expecting answers to this but the current status is pretty annoying.
