Hi
I take the opportunity to update my comments by means of the file "Backgrounds .." and the scanner.class as modified by me to make it work with my Canon scanners. I added both files to my first and above entry.  The contents of the file "Backgrounds .." is intended as ReadMe file provided with the source code of the scan application.
