Just that table is frightening, and it's just for the Gregorian calendar.

The worst maybe is the islamic calendar, where two muslims can't agree of the date of some religious dates, and that is based on the moon cycles. As many other calendars in the world by the way.

There is a Gnu command-line tool named "gcal" that tries to deals with some of the main calendars (not all). But it's not a library that can be used in a language.

So I don't see any good solution... Maybe the DateView control can be enhanced with specific management for some calendars: Gregorian, Julian, Islamic, Jew, Chinese... What a job!
