It works here.

Beware that uploading file cannot work if you run the project from the IDE. Because 'gb.httpd' processes requests one by one, for debugging purpose.

When I use WebListBox in IDE WebListBox1.Selection provides me the array of selected Rows. I can use WebListBox1.Selection to find out which Rows are selected. However when I compile the program (attached above and others) and run with lighttpd server WebListBox1.Selection doesn't provide the array of selected Rows. In this case WebListBox1.Selection = 0. I checked with latest downloaded gambas packages from ppa:gambas-team/gambas-daily. AM I missing something?

None of the dependencies make it to the installation package
the only one that seems to be included is gambas3-runtime.

Even when external c libs and such are defined as being required.

Is this a feature or issue I am not certain I am doing this correctly?

This of course works fine for an application!

I guess you installed Gambas from the daily ppa? Which version did you install exactly?

I'm currently fixing it, but I have to wait one day for each change to see if it works. Normally it should be fixed today.

Do you mean it returns NULL instead? The Selection property returns NULL only when the selection mode is "Select.None".

As I said, I see no difference on my system between running from the IDE and running as CGI script from the web server. Both behave as expected.

Can you show me the contents of the log file when your example crashes? Its path is '/tmp/gambas.XXX/session/gb.web.form2/error.log', where 'XXX' is the user id used by the webserver to run the CGI script.

I think I found the cause. Look at line 95 in IDEerror.log, you will see:

The end of the decoded request is visible at line 114: /x: ["update","@1.WebListBox1","+",[2,1],true]

Now let's compare with Lightyerror.log. At line 93 you see:

2672 | ================ NEW REQUEST: http://localhost/cgi-bin/weblist/x?c=%5B%22update%22,%22 at 1.WebListBox1%22,%22+%22,%5B2,1%5D,true%5D

that translates, at line 110, to: /x: ["update","@1.WebListBox1"," ",[2,1],true]

You see? The '+' is already decoded by lightttpd, whereas it is received encoded with the integrated web server run by the IDE.

This is not normal. The request is sent by the javascript code of the browser, which encodes the space into '+', but that '+' should arrive to the CGI script untouched, as the rest of the request.

Now I have no idea why... Must investigate.

The complete process is listed below:
In Ubuntu 19.10 Desktop with all updates I installed lighttpd in following way:
$ sudo apt-get install lighttpd
$ sudo lighty-enable-mod cgi
$ service lighttpd force-reload

Copy weblist (compiled CGI script) to /usr/lib/cgi-bin/
Run in browser: localhost/cgi-bin/weblist
I got the same problem.

$ lighttpd -v
lighttpd/1.4.53 (ssl) - a light and fast webserver

$ firefox --version
Mozilla Firefox 76.0.1

Now you can at least use the Gambas daily ppa, they should work on focal. The Gambas stable ppa should come soon.

As for the debian/ubuntu "official" packages, I don't make them and I don't have any control of them, so it's hard to fix...

The Package Version number is always "1" for primary Arch src and pkg tars. Dummy helper packages acquire the correct version number, resulting in version mismatches, such as "application-1.0.1-1.pkg.tar.xz" and "application-qt5-1.0.1-2.pkg.tar.xz". The "pkgver" value in the ".PKGINFO" and ".BUILDINFO" files in the "pkg" tarball reflect this mismatch, as does the "pkgrel" value in the "PKGBUILD" and ".SRCINFO" data files in the "src" tarball, so it's not just a file naming issue.

Looks like it might just be because of "./app/src/gambas3/.src/Packager/Package.module", Line 2412. Line 2555 is the related Dummy helper line that did it right. Testing to see if there are any other problems or if it's just that one line.

I'm using a program (it uses gb.gtk3 component) to print some reports.
I've noticed that starting from Gambas 3.14.1, when I print the report (with gb.gtk or gb.gtk3), the font size is really small compared to the preview. If I change component from gb.gtk3 to gb.qt5 no problem. I've attacched two pdf, one created with the gtk3 component and one with the qt5 to explain the problem. Thanks in advance.

Looks like the packagers for Ubuntu have made some changes, but they missed gambas3-gb-form-print as a dependency. And I think the version numbers are wonky. It thought the 19.10 packages were newer, so I had to uninstall and reinstall everything to get it to work right.

I don't know what happened, but I just got this while doing some build testing on Ubuntu 19.10:

secondfaqtor-qt5 : Depends: secondfaqtor (<= 1.0.1) but 1.0.1-0ubuntu2 is to be installed


At the moment, I'm not sure if it's because I'm using local files instead of a repo. I'm also not sure if it's because the package version is 2. I don't know how apt does version comparison.

When Creating ubuntu Installation package for app using a shared library dependency is incorrect

The max dependency is always set to be less than the current version number of the library

The setting is always incorrect
if we have a shared lib and the version is 3.14.90 equal to the current gambas version so happens my lib version is greater than gambas version

The control file is always wrong 
 
it is set to  westwood-sharedmem (>= 3.13.0), westwood-sharedmem (<< 3.14.90)

so its not possible to install the app with shared lib >= 3.14.90 . If its a component not a lib then the entry

 is set to  gambas3-westwood-sharedmem (>= 3.14), gambas3-westwood-sharedmem (<< 3.99.0)

I have been fixing this by hand, but maybe It could be corrected?

I have reset the lib version to 3.14.1 and there is no issues. should a shared library versions be tied to gambas version?
