It usefullf communications message objects, and pipe type communication as well. Yes true logging and simple text display.
But really good for messages which are object in data communication, 
Eg print #tcp, myheader; myBody; info...

I have the same problem:  Packages that worked before now fail.  I'm attaching a PKGBUILD.  The problem in my case revolves around the fact that pkgdir is undefined.  All other errors stem from that.  Is this an upstream issue?  Here's the make log:

in the properties panel, where in addition to the properties are the help views and classes.
It is not comfortable to remove the views or accommodate them, you have to find another way, perhaps with two buttons, looking for a suitable place for them, where you can with one click hide and with another click on the same button to see.
I was going to look for examples by editing shrimp, but ... it gives me an error when I want to see the properties form.
This obviously occurs in small and standard results such as 1024 * 800 or something like that, in high resolutions there is no problem with this since all the views are left in sight. I think you have to find another way to hide / see because the triangles to see or hide them are very small and uncomfortable. regards

Still no crash on my computer, and valgrind sees nothing wrong when compiling that code, even if I use the compiler from the 3.14.2 version.

Note that the playground segfaults if you just enter the 'Loop' keyword.

If you grant me an access to your computer, maybe I will be able to do something...

I have an idea, put two buttons (where I don't know) one for help, and another for classes. when you press once you hide, when you press again you see. the same for the other button is pushed once the window class, apretas hidden window again looks classes.

The _read or _write cause a random crash when the fast class calling them is created and accessed inside a function which is not fast!

The attached example calls the class which is defined as fast from a main which is not defined as fast this causes a random memory pointer error

in my primary app the jit just crashes with

Don't know if this will help, but it looks like when you calculate the length of a special object ie write null....

the length needed and returned differ by one byte... too short . It looks like that anyway.

PRINT is there for printing text, not for sending the contents of an object in an unexpected way (i.e. in a format that is requested by a specific communication protocol). It's the same horrible idea as the "<<" C++ operator used for writing to a stream. The initial semantic is hijacked.

Of course, I can't prevent anyone to hijack _get() and _put() is such a way that it does something completely unrelated with a array-like access, or any other special method. So maybe I can add the _print() special method, even I'm strongly against what you want to do with it.

It's the other way: if you want to deal with objects through a specific communication, it's the class that implements the communication protocol that must have a method to deal with objects. Like the Paint.Begin() method.

I understand your thoughts on this, from a simpler point of view its nice to contain text representation within your object.

Write really does not lend it's self to a simple interface for complex object assembly, in cases where the output to another system or process is in fact text 
it's a very nice way to do that.

LOL I have used the << notation a lot in c++, to the point of implementing a TCP/IP stack using mostly that notation.. L.O.L   Oh! Boy! Yes I do Understand!

But if possible It would be a useful addition, thank you for taking the time to really think about this!

OK, this is why we have so many problems with that component. Laurent Carlier just fixed the compilation of poppler, so it will be in the next stable release.

I didn't write the original component, and it would cool if I can find someone for rewriting the component in C++!

Description
-----------

Would it be possible to have the following work correctly

dim i as variant = 0
dim p as pointer

p = varptr(i)  ' have this return a pointer to underlying storage type memory

Using the data type of the variant, and return an error only for those which don't have a simple pointer, rather than the unexpected "wanted number error"

I guess not many people are using varptr() but it would save a lot of double copy because now we must

dim j as int
j = i
p = varptr(j)

I don't know if this is complicated

VarPtr() on a variant was forbidden because it may depend on the datatype stored in the variant.

But I can introduce it with the constraint that you must call VarPtr() again as soon the datatype stored changes.

Yes, finally it makes sense! I started redoing the component with the public C++ API.
It seems manageable so far, but you never know until you're done and can even attempt
to compile it. In this case, about every type and API call has to be changed...

What is the full output of the configuration process? The detection of openal relies on pkg-config.

It does in fact return a bad pointer for class variables. passing a string fixed my issue. but not the fact it was wrong
