Where did you see that I like Visual Basic?

I like the BASIC language (because it's the first language I learned) and doing my GUI with the mouse. But Visual Basic was an horrible mess of random little bugs everywhere and incomprehensible design. It should have been destroyed at version 3.

If you look for something like "VBS", look at the Gambas scripter.

And as for "VBA", it was mainly a way to put viruses in every computer of the planet. If you need to manipulate LibreOffice documents, you can deal directly with its text format.  This is what I do at the moment.

But maybe I didn't understand what you mean exactly?
