Re: Missing gui component

Does this mean that any programs built before the new release will fail in the field and cause a Chareback on people's Bank Accounts by buyers?

-------------------------------------- Please tell me that it ain't so.

A user on my forum just had an error trying to get a program to compile that he made 9 years ago.

The problem was the program was set to explicitly use gb.gtk but his new system did not support gtk2.

I post this mail because of his error message that was something like "cannot find Frame"

It basically failed to find any controls and gave that error.

Shouldn't it fail with a message about gb.gtk component not being found?

Can the compiler/ide detect and give an error message if the toolkit is explicitly chosen (not a gui switcher) but the system is missing that toolkit?
