Does this mean that any programs built before the new release will fail in the field and cause a Chareback on people's Bank Accounts by buyers?

A user on my forum just had an error trying to get a program to compile that he made 9 years ago.The problem was the program was set to explicitly use gb.gtk but his new system did not support gtk2.I post this mail because of his error message that was something like "cannot find Frame"It basically failed to find any controls and gave that error.Shouldn't it fail with a message about gb.gtk component not being found? Can the compiler/ide detect and give an error message if the toolkit is explicitly chosen (not a gui switcher) but the system is missing that toolkit?Respects BruceS
