Re: Reading Barcodes and QR Codes with ZXing-C++ in Gambas?

I wrote a useful desktop application allowing to read QR codes and barcodes from the webcam, desktop and bitmaps. It uses the zbar-tools package and a GStreamer pipeline based on gb.media. Unfortunately ZBar can't read PDF417 codes, which recently occurred in one of my documents.

Meanwhile I found this: https://github.com/zxing-cpp/zxing-cpp? tab=readme-ov-file

The ZXing-C++ library covers a similar range of codes like zbar, but it also covers PDF417. Its impressing performance can be tested via above web address.

My questions: Is there is a chance to use this library in Gambas? Would it be possible to make a Gambas component out of it?

My C and C++ capabilities are close to Null.

Best regards

Claus

Why don't you use the 'ZXingReader' and 'ZXingWriter' command-line tools?
