I was trying to find info about desktop environment used in the distro, but can't find it. Is it Gnome? Or can it be something written in Gambas? Because I saw many years ago that there was a project of a DE written in Gambas, and I lost my sleep ever since. The idea of replacing lxpanel with something written in Gambas obsesses me. But I can't even begin to understand how panels make environment understand that panel is not a part of accessible desktop geometry for windows anymore. It got to be something X related or something.

• a img file for arm64 Raspberry Pi model 4B and model 5

The UEFI boot support for the iso is new. GambOS has it's own greeter now and it's own video player written in Gambas. 

I'm currently writing book 2 and in there you will learn how to build said video player, along with a pdf viewer, image viewer and some more applications that will become part of GambOS.

A lot of work has gone into this second public release.

I hope it will turn out useful for those new to Gambas.
