Very interesting problem. I'm currently sick so I won't be much help right now. But I have noticed that new hardware seems to intentionally (AFAIK) break things on Linux. I bought Rapoo M50 mouse, very regular mouse (google it), but to get it to work, you need 6.8 kernel to fix all the non-standard shenanigans they made. So, I guess your keyboard has something similar... something stupud like it detects "gaming mode" and disables some keys. I don't think it is mapping issue, when it works everywhere else, unless it changes the mapping on the fly.
