Re "The IDE window does not raise automatically when a debugged program
stops somewhere"
I've been finding it does that with X too for some time.
Could it be a different issue?

If i am watching a movie on one screen i cannot start and stop a debug
session then the IDE has focus and is activated.

Many many times i have tested a program running the debugger, then closed
the program and hit an arrow key to move the cursor but the movie player is
active now and jumps the movie position. it's quite annoying and has done
it for a few months now.
