Re: Is it possible to have an offline Gambas Development Environment?

Update: An offline development environment seems to be feasible. I successfully built a signed AppImage with local file repos. Other installer targets have not been tested yet are are not needed in my case. On the local drive the Ubunto file-repo is about 5.9 GB (jammy) und the entire ppa 500MB. The installer dialog for AppImages accepts file:///.... repos.

The only remaining problem is the offline help. It is much better since yesterday but still deviates in many cases as I found.

My question: Why is the offline help not identical with the online help and can this be fixed?

Two reasons:

1) The offline help is displayed through the light HtmlView control, not the heaviest WebView.

2) Bugs in the Html underlying library, or in the generated HTML, or in the style sheet, or in the IDE when it fills the HtmlView with all that stuff.

I am already aware of some bugs, as I use the offline help, but when you find differences, you can report them.
