If you set the opacity during the Open event, everything works perfectly in all components when using KDE window manager and X11.
If you set the opacity only in the property sheet, i.e. during the window instanciation, it works for all components except GTK+3.
I will look at the last problem, but I guess you have to move to a window manager that supports the Opacity property (it's purely a compositor thing).
I will test if it works with Wayland, but there is always a doubt with that beast. :-(
