The current maintained stable releases (named LTS at Ubuntu) are 20.04, 22.04, 24.04 (see a pattern?)
So, next stable will be 26.04 (in April 2026).

In between is the road to the next LTS release being:
24.04 -> current LTS
24.10
25.04 (soon to come: April 2025)
25.10
26.04 -> Next LTS

So, 24.10 is kind of a testing situation.
That is why I only package LTS releases as they stick around longer and are maintained longer.
A few months before 26.04 is released is when I would start building for 25.10.

If all works by 26.04 we're good I suppose
