I myself never packaged for 24.10, but only the LTS releases of Ubuntu.
That said, I think it is possibly a specific Ubuntu 24.10 problem, because else the packages wouldn't be made nor would they install.
Making packages implies a successful  compile of gambas before even begining to make a package.

So, probably some specif library version on 24.10 that has some changes that give trouble or something like that.

If you want to really know that it is NOT in the packages, you'll have to compile and install gambas on ubuntu 24.10 and see what happens if it launches.
If all is ok the problem is in teh package, if not it's something Benoit needs to look at.
