I will try to look ahead:

There are currently more or less good package building instructions for 
openSUSE, Debian/Ubuntu and Arch.

Benoît initially put the one I used for testing, i.e. for the poc, in 
the git repository.

Now it's up to the people who want to help with the packaging to 
improve, optimize, or even create completely new package building 
instructions.

I can contribute regarding openSUSE (and possibly other RPM 
distributions) and will, if desired.

I can also contribute special customizations that are necessary to build 
the packages on OBS. So some changes will be necessary to make the 
package building “OBS compatible”.

About the mentioned *.dsc files:
For the Debian/Ubuntu build, these are the initial descriptions needed 
in addition to the debian archives.
This is nothing specific to OBS, but OBS needs these files for operation.
Again, some customization is required, but hopefully this should be 
painless.
