version control auto-revert files (why global?)

Shouldn't auto-reverting non important files be a project setting not a
global one?

It seems to me that's it is mostly a feature specifically to manage the
gambas source repositories.

For every other project i have i do not want any auto-reverting.
Only for the gambas i do,
But it's a global setting. have it for all or don't have it for all ?
Does not seem ideal.
