No, that's not the procedure for uninstalling the 'Master' and
installing the 'Stable', the correct procedure is:
(Note: $ represents the terminal prompt and should not be copied)

Remove the PPA repository and Gambas by terminal:
$ sudo add-apt-repository -r ppa:gambas-team/gambas3

$ sudo apt-get --purge remove gambas3

$ sudo apt-get autoremove gambas3

or if you prefer use Synaptic (in this case check several times).

Check that you haven't made a mess and try to reinstall all the
libraries (don't worry, Linux doesn't install them twice):
$ sudo apt-get install build-essential git g++ automake autoconf libtool
libbz2-dev libzstd-dev libmysqlclient-dev unixodbc-dev libpq-dev
libsqlite0-dev libsqlite3-dev libglib2.0-dev libgtk2.0-dev
libcurl4-gnutls-dev libgtkglext1-dev libpcre3-dev libsdl-sound1.2-dev

Uninstall the master:
$ cd gambasdevel

$ sudo make uninstall

delete the gambasdevel folder from the home:
$ cd

$ rm -rf gambasdevel/

Download the latest stable one from git:

$ git clone --branch stable --depth=1
https://gitlab.com/gambas/gambas.git gambastable

And install as first:
$ cd gambastable

$ ./reconf-all && ./configure -C

$ make && LANG="C" sudo make install
