I've attached 2 videos of what changing background color looks like with both toolkits.
GTK3 is a no go, QT6 is sort of okay but auto-invert text color is not right.

Also attached is a simple test program i've been using that "should" work for both gambas 3.20 and 3.21.

It would be great if you could restore the TextHighlighter "Background" State.

It is indeed great that we can now use TextEditor.Background but removing it from the list of States makes for more complicated code as can be seen in the test program.
It would be great if the "States" lists all settable highlight related colors (including Background), I understand The background is not technically a state but now having to deal with Background separately seems "un peu nul"
