Regarding the used gui toolkit there is indeed something confusing going on. In Mint Cinnamon I can start Gambas from the application toolbar with QT4, 5, 6 or GTK+3 (right click in the Gambas icon plus selection in context menu). Yesterday the bug clearly appeared with QT5 and GTK+3 and I repeated different selections about 3-4 times. However I didn't verify in the system information which gui toolkit was actually used. Today I couldn't reproduce the bug under QT5. It only occurred in GTK+3 - strange. Yesterday Gianluigi already confirmed that he can't reproduce the bug under QT5. I'll keep an eye on it. 

Question: Why does Cinnamon offer to start Gambas with different gui toolkits by a right click on the Gambas icon? Is this initiated by Gambas itself?
