this appears to be a problem only with the qt6 Fusion theme.
By default I only had 2 qt6 themes installed (Windows, Fusion) so I also installed adwaita-qt6 theme.

Tested with the following qt6 themes..

Windows  , okay
Fusion   , Transparent Control.Background is black
Adwaita  , okay
