It may be a font size problem related to the chinese font you are using.

Try to use another chinese font if you can, to see if it fixes the problem, eventually increasing the font size.

I have tested running the IDE with chinese language and GTK+3. I don't have the problem with the search field, but the IDE is rendered corrupted (some part of the window are drawn on top of other parts). A GTK+3 weird bug again...
