'gb.gui.trayicon' is just a "switcher" component.

It loads the 'gb.dbus' component, then checks if a DBus trayicon container is implemented by the current desktop. If so, it uses DBus trayicons. Otherwise it loads the old X11 TrayIcon implementation now deprecated on both GTK+ and Qt.

So, when using 'gb.gui.trayicon', you must check first what your current desktop supports exactly. Or you can check in your Gambas progrma if 'gb.dbus' has been loaded to know what kind of TrayIcon will be created.
