What I found in the meantime:  The declaration "http://.."; is correct! To change the declaration to "https:.." is not valid !
You can also write "Benoít://.." instead of "http://.."; or remove the declaration entirely. Is has the same effect.

I tested the "problem-html-files" with the Midori browser, which also uses the gtkwebkit .... same error message.

The gtkWebkit threads about this issue are pretty old which made me pessimistic about a solution. So does it make sense to continue my work on the IMAP control under these circumstances? Why does it work with QT5? What are the perspectives for us Gambassers?
