So if there is no fix i guess the best solution is to not override Picture.class and try to store loaded Picture file paths differently?

Dang again.
I find a Picture.Path property very useful with my custom menu features and with the override class it is automatically handled for any Picture.

is there no way for the component to also check it's own root path for data when an override is in place?

I can imagine issues like this could also pop up in other places when auto-inheriting classes.

I'll work around it if you think it's not a bug though.
